So, tomorrow is 12-12-12. This is the last time we will see a day like this. At least this century...unless we all live another 100 years. And if we do, you know we'll all still be teaching! We're that dedicated and that love our job that much!
To celebrate, we're making our day all about 12! Writing? Check. Making a list of what we want 12 of and making a 12 book. Math? Check. Making 12. And of course, at HAT! No day is complete without a hat at the kindergarten smorgasboard!
And randomly during the day, I am going to play some music and we'll dance for 12 seconds!
What are you doing for 12-12-12?
Last night, I whipped up this little set for 12-12-12. If you need a quick and SIMPLE activity for tomorrow, I hope you'll download it and leave me some love. Maybe some nice words will make me less grouchy.
Please notice the glitter frame and the 12 with a mustache. I need to use that mustache set ASAP on some great creation for Monsters, Inc. HMMM Suggestions?!
Anyways, that being said, please visit my friend Katie at Teacher To The Core! She is becoming one of my best blog buddies. We even text on the phone. I know, right?! Are you jealous?! She is amazing! Can you believe she wrote a whole post about me?!?! And we both have a serious Post It Note hoarding problem. Don't believe me? Go check it out! She is also having a major give away! Go enter and tell her Greg sent ya! And be sure to check out her husbands blog too at Writing Pad Dad!
Here is what we did today:
I can't wait to get all of these hung up from the ceiling!! Click the picture to go to the post with the link to the freebie if you want to make these with your kids!

Can't wait to download this pack! I wanted to do something fun with 12, but after my 2 hour long faculty meeting today, I just didn't have the energy (or time) to put something together! It'll be ok, some of my best activities are spur of the moment! Thanks for sharing!!

Mr Greg, you are AWESOME!!! I was looking for something to do tomorrow with my set of volunteers and couldn't find anything Holiday-ie that I liked. Then I remembered your blog about your 12 Celebration and got some ideas. Then I log in tonight and see you have shared your hat with us all. Thank you so very much!!! Your book cover will be awesome. I have already scoped out 12 things they could do (glue 12 hole punches, tissue paper, friends names, words they can read, etc.) and am so very excited for tomorrow! Thanks so much!!! (I left you love luv on tpt too.)
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your 12/12/12 ideas. Please consider joining my linky party. Thanks!

LOL, ok I JUST YESTERDAY posted my post-it hording confession and gave some useful ways to use them in the classroom. Can I join the club? Should we start a Post-It Anonymous? :P
ReplyDeleteTalking on the phone? Am I a lil jealous? Maybe. :P J/k but for realz I hope your not so grouchy anymore.
I'll post them later but my Kinder kids are making #line to 12 with a GB man stamp I found. My 1st graders are writing 12 words to describe themselves in a self portrait. And I made my 2nd & 3rd graders write for 12 min, read for 12 min, write for 12 min, read for 12 min. LOL it was fun.
Have a great day.
